The cruise liner Crown Princess visits Liverpool - it's great to see the crowds that come out every time a big ship comes in, the liner terminal has created a lot of interest since it opened.

The Red Arrows performing at the Southport Air Show, 2009. The aircraft at the show vary from year to year but it's always worth going if you know this lot are on - their display is always nothing short of incredible.

The Queen Mary II visits Liverpool - by far the largest thing to come since the new liner terminal opened, she made an impressive addition to the waterfront.

Shot from when the QM2 was in town – can’t get enough of the big ships, the cruise liner terminal is one of the best things to have happened to the city in the past few years.
The only problem with this ship was it’s sheer size – everything else that comes in afterwards is going to look like a tiddler in comparison.

La Machine, another part of Liverpool's Capital of Culture celebrations. A massive mechanised spider that roamed Liverpool city centre, it was one of, if not the, highlight of the Capital of Culture year.
