Southport Air Show – Guinot Wing Walkers
The Guinot Wing Walkers performing at the Southport Air Show, 2009. They put on a great, if terrifying, show – if you fancy having a go you can sign up here! Rather you than me….
Southport Air Show 2009 – Red Arrows

The Red Arrows performing at the Southport Air Show, 2009. The aircraft at the show vary from year to year but it’s always worth going if you know this lot are on – their display is always nothing short of incredible.
West Kirby Walk

The walkway around the marine lake, West Kirby. It’s a great place to go if you need to clear your head – it’s very windy and exposed. As you can see in this photo, you can see for miles, all the way down the Welsh coast. I try to get over at least once a month, it’s one of my favourite places to take photos.
Chester Station – Black & White
Chester station is a proper old fashioned train station with long platforms, wide arches and these big pools of light – great place to take photos.
Coffee?
Washed up coffee jar at Formby. Went there for a walk – got properly togged up expecting the worse from the weather, being November and all – what a gorgeous day. Slightly windy and not very cold at all – stayed until it was dark, great day.
Rileys, Formby

I’d been down the beach at Formby to release some Moosages in a Bottle, a side project of mine, and when I returned to my car there was a line-up of these cool old Riley cars. Must have been some sort of meet-up – they were lovely looking machines in pristine condition.
Talacre Lighthouse

The lighthouse at Talacre – the lighthouse is actually shifting which makes trying to get a straight horizon interesting.
Silcocks Funland

Silcocks Funland in Southport – taken on a ferociously windy autumn day, this was as far from a fun day as I can think of but the arcade was still open and people were still visiting and sitting outside, sipping at coffee. This photo reminds me of seaside towns up and down Britain.
