The new ferry terminal at the Pier Head, winner of the Carbuncle Cup 2009 – it’s certainly a building that divides opinion.

The cruise liner Crown Princess visits Liverpool – it’s great to see the crowds that come out every time a big ship comes in, the liner terminal has created a lot of interest since it opened.

No idea what this company is or was – I found this door in an alley off Dale Street and loved the textures in the wall and door and the old-fashioned lettering on the sign.

Cool poster I saw on Knight Street – after a bit of digging I sort of managed to track down the artist who produces these, his prints are available here.

I love this building – reminds me of the Flat Iron building in New York.  The big window that the reflection is in is a restaurant/wine bar place – was getting some funny looks from the barman trying to get this shot.

The Guinot Wing Walkers performing at the Southport Air Show, 2009.  They put on a great, if terrifying, show – if you fancy having a go you can sign up here!  Rather you than me….

The Red Arrows performing at the Southport Air Show, 2009.  The aircraft at the show vary from year to year but it’s always worth going if you know this lot are on – their display is always nothing short of incredible.

The Queen Mary II visits Liverpool – by far the largest thing to come since the new liner terminal opened, she made an impressive addition to the waterfront.

The walkway around the marine lake, West Kirby.  It’s a great place to go if you need to clear your head – it’s very windy and exposed.  As you can see in this photo, you can see for miles, all the way down the Welsh coast.  I try to get over at least once a month, it’s one of my favourite places to take photos.
